Playing Courts

There are 2 locations for tennis/pickleball courts. Rec Lake,  and Westville Park.

There is a double court at Westville Park, with night lighting, and a single court at Rec Lake, which also features a basketball court.

Costs: $10 one time fee for a key

 


Diehl Field

 

The beautifully maintained playing field hosts many different ball games for all ages. Though too small for a standard baseball field, Soccer teams practice regularly. There is also a volleyball sandpit, boccie ball court, and a basketball court. There is a shaded picnic area for family use. Diehl Park is often a staging area for outdoor community events.

 

 

Golf Course

THE GOLF COURSE, which is open all year, is a 9­ hole par-29 course sanctioned by the NCGA. There is no charge to members, but guests must pay a fee prior to play. A Membership ID card is required to play the course, and all golf and etiquette rules apply. There are several golf groups organized, but you do not need to be a member of any of these to enjoy the ALT course. To check if the course is open call 530-210-2227.





Indian Bow Lake

Indian Bow Lake is also known as 'Rec Lake'. It includes sandy beach areas, playground and picnic facilities. Limited non-motorized boating and fishing are allowed in designated areas. No reservations, no fees.







Playgrounds

There are two playgrounds. One at Indian Bow Lake and another at Westville Park (where the Easter Bunny sometimes shows up). There are picnic tables also for picnicking enjoyment.






Campground

THE CAMPGROUND is a 'wilderness' hideaway with restrooms and water/electrical hookups to camper/trailer pads at reasonable rates. Reservations are required to be made with Community Services.

 

 

 



Pool

The heated Pool and un-heated wading pool are located at Westville Park and are home to the Dolphins Swim Team

Hiking & Riding Trails

Close to urban areas with wilderness in our backyard, Auburn Lake Trails is an outdoor lover's paradise. There are literally hundreds of miles of established hiking and equestrian trails directly accessible from Auburn Lake Trails, including the Wendell T Robie Trail and the Western States Trail. Auburn Lake Trails Staff maintain 20+ miles of trails within our boundary as an amenity for the hiking and riding pleasure of residents and guests. There are no motorized or non-motorized vehicles allowed on the trails.

 



Horse Boarding

Auburn Lake Trails has enclosed stables and several open paddocks for horses. The arena hosts occasional horse events through the local Silver Spurs club.

Paddocks and Stables are available to rent for an additional fee.  One horse = $128 per month, Paddocks for two horses = $ 193 per month, Stable for one horse = $ 88 per month, additional larger tack rooms (no feed) available for $25 per month. They each have a small feed/tack room attached.

You do your own feeding and cleaning. Water is available in each paddock & stable




RV Storage

There is a small fenced lot to store those toys for those whose lots are too small for an extra monthly fee.

 

Barnloft

THE BARNLOFT is the largest facility and is used for many ALT events such as the annual Foothill Follies (when it becomes the Barnloft Theatre), bimonthly WIFFS luncheons, dinners, Town Meetings, etc. It has a stage and wood flooring, good for dancing. It is also available for rental for private affairs (weddings, receptions, etc.) and may be reserved through the office for a fee. The Barnloft has a fully equipped warming kitchen.




 

Lakeside Clubhouse

THE LAKESIDE CLUBHOUSE is located by the Pool, Westville Park and Golf Course on Westville Trail. It is also available for rental for private affairs (weddings, receptions, etc.) and may be reserved through the office for a fee. The Lakeside Clubhouse has a fully equipped warming kitchen.






Library

The Cleary Library was established in 1978 and named in honor of the two who donated the first fine volumes, and who worked to make the library a unique, permanent asset for all of us. It is a complete volunteer operation, currently open three afternoons a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays 1-4pm. It is a free service to ALT residents.
